Analysis review
The ferrosilicon spot market operated smoothly at the beginning of the week. Last Friday, HBIS's bidding price was 10,700 RMB/ton, an increase of 1,500 RMB/ton from August. At present, the spot supply is tight, and some factories are in the situation of arranging production according to orders. The industry has certain expectations for the market. However, there have also been reports in the downstream market that some steel mills have plans to suspend production for maintenance in September. Under such circumstances, the atmosphere of the supply and demand game in the spot market is more obvious, and the current market wait-and-see atmosphere is relatively strong.
