SunSirs: The Market for Cyclohexanone Rose Slightly

Recently, the domestic market for cyclohexanone has risen slightly. Favorable cost continued to boost, and downstream procurement was cautious. According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of April 22, the average domestic market price of cyclohexanone was 10,420 RMB/ton, and the price increased by 8.92% month-on-month and 88.77% year-on-year.
Analysis review
In terms of raw materials, Sinopec’s price of pure benzene was raised by 300 RMB/ton to 7,300 RMB/ton, and all refineries under its subsidiaries was implemented uniformly. The price was implemented from April 21st.
On the downstream side, Sinopec’s high-end caprolactam quotation rose by 200 RMB/ton to 13,900 RMB/ton this week
Market outlook
The price of pure benzene continues to rise and the cost support is strong, but the supply of cyclohexanone is increasing. Analysts of SunSirs predict that the short-term domestic cyclohexanone market will be mainly on the sidelines for the time being.
