SunSirs: Low Alloy Plate Prices Fell Slightly in the Week (October 14-18)

October 21 2019 13:26:46     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, last week (October 14, 2019 - October 18, 2019), the price of low alloy sheets fell slightly. The price of Low alloy plate (manganese plate) (Specification: 20*2200*L; Material: Q345B) on October 14 was 3,866 RMB/ton, and the price on October 18 was 3,842 RMB/ton, down 0.62% from the beginning of the week. From last week's trend, the price of low-alloy boards will decline mainly in the short term.

Analysis review

It is reported that the "Wuxi Viaduct incident" led to local transportation control, and most of the merchants now have goods in the terminal and other vehicles. This week, the local market transaction atmosphere is relatively poor, downstream users basically purchase on demand, merchants are generally poorly shipped, and some merchants with strong willingness to pay back drop shipments. The price of hot-rolled coils in the local market fell sharply this week, which had a certain impact on the price of medium and heavy plates and low-alloy plates.

Market outlook

The trading of low-alloy plates only increased at the beginning of the week, and the rest of the time was weak. The futures market is weak, and the big ones are bearish on the market outlook, taking care of the goods and the volume is insufficient; the downstream demand is mostly wait-and-see. The spot price of the Tangshan low-alloy board market has also been falling, which has also contributed to the lack of confidence of local businesses. In terms of inventory, it was slightly lower than last week. It is expected that the low alloy sheet market will continue to decline slightly in the short term.
