SunSirs: Brazil's Soybean Export Volume Plummets in Early September
September 11 2026 10:36:32     SunSirs (Selena)
Data from SECEX indicates that the pace of Brazilian soybean exports in early September lagged behind the same period last year. From September 1 to 4, Brazil exported 1.3 million tonnes of soybeans, compared to 7.34 million tonnes in September 2025.
As a major global soybean exporter, Brazil's export volume of just 1.3 million tonnes in early September represents a year-on-year drop of over 80% from the 7.34 million tonnes recorded during the same period last year. This significant tightening of short-term global soybean supply provides strong support for spot prices; meanwhile, benchmark soybean futures contracts—both domestic and international—are expected to receive a boost from these supply-demand dynamics, keeping prices firm.
