SunSirs: China Qingdao Natural Rubber Market Consolidates at High Levels on September 1

On September 1, the natural rubber market in Qingdao saw prices consolidating at high levels. With Shanghai rubber futures fluctuating at the high end of the range, spot market quotes underwent minor adjustments: mainstream quotes for 2024-production Yunbao/Guangkeng/Haibao rubber stood at 18,000–18,200 RMB/tonne; 2025-production Yunbao/Guangkeng/Haibao rubber was quoted at 18,100–18,300 RMB/tonne; and Vietnamese 3L rubber was quoted at 18,800–18,950 RMB/tonne.
Regarding the spot market, prices in Qingdao consolidated at high levels on September 1. High-level fluctuations in Shanghai rubber futures provided support for spot prices, leading to slight adjustments in merchant quotes. Mainstream prices for domestic rubber were 18,000–18,200 RMB/tonne for 2024 production and 18,100–18,300 RMB/tonne for 2025 production, while Vietnamese 3L rubber traded at 18,800–18,950 RMB/tonne; overall, spot prices maintained a firm trend. In the futures market, the benchmark natural rubber contract (2701) on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed at 18,965 RMB/tonne on August 31—an increase of 65 RMB/tonne from the previous trading day. The market exhibited a high-level fluctuating trend with a bullish bias, providing favorable support for futures prices.
