On August 6, natural rubber market prices in the Qingdao region rose. Driven by a rally in Shanghai rubber futures, traders raised their offers by approximately 200–300 RMB/tonne, despite only moderate inquiry activity from downstream buyers. Mainstream quotes for 2024-production Yunbao/Guangkeng/Haibao rubber stood at 16,850–17,000 RMB/tonne; 2025-production Yunbao/Guangkeng/Haibao rubber was quoted at 17,050–17,200 RMB/tonne; and Vietnamese 3L rubber was quoted at 18,200–18,400 RMB/tonne.
In the spot market, Qingdao-based traders increased their offers by 200–300 RMB/tonne. Mainstream quotes were 16,850–17,000 RMB/tonne for 2024 domestic rubber, 17,050–17,200 RMB/tonne for 2025 domestic rubber, and 18,200–18,400 RMB/tonne for Vietnamese 3L rubber. While downstream inquiries remained lackluster, the rise in Shanghai rubber futures provided support to spot prices, resulting in a generally firm price trend that offered moderate bullish momentum for natural rubber.
