Data from SunSirs indicates that the average market price of rapeseed meal was 2,402 RMB/ton on July 20 and 2,464 RMB/ton on July 24, marking an increase of 2.58%.
Rapeseed meal spot prices maintained a steady upward trend throughout the week. On the cost side, the price of imported rapeseed provided support, and domestic oil mills showed a strong inclination to maintain price levels. Regarding supply, spot inventories were gradually depleted, resulting in tight market availability. On the demand side, the peak season for aquaculture continued, demand from feed manufacturers for formula substitution remained stable, and essential procurement provided price support.
In the short term, the market sentiment for rapeseed meal remains bullish, with room for further gains driven by essential demand. However, market participants should monitor potential supply pressure arising from increased rapeseed arrivals and track changes in aquaculture demand; caution is advised regarding chasing higher prices.
