According to the data monitored by the business agency (the average ex-factory price of calcium carbide method SG5), the domestic mainstream PVC average price on October 10 was 6,742.5 RMB/ ton, up 0.94% compared with the beginning of the month, 2.47% on a month on month basis, and 0.71% higher than the same period last year.

Market Analysis

In September, PVC rose 1.75%, not much. The PVC market rose first and then fell in the first half of the month. The weak market continued to the middle month. In the second half, the spot market of PVC began to rise steadily. Near the holiday, the downstream replenishment and futures kept rising, boosting the trend of the spot market. The low-end price of PVC began to close to the high-end price, the market trading atmosphere turned better, the industry was optimistic, some regions had few goods sources, the manufacturers had better pre-sale, and the PVC center of gravity gradually moved upward

Since October, the PVC market has risen, with the current price rising to more than 6,700 RMB/ ton. PV mainstream enterprises raised about 50-170 RMB/ ton, some enterprises are short of supply, temporarily not quoted, the attitude of the industry is optimistic. The transportation of National Day holiday is limited, the quantity of PVC arrived is reduced, and the time is still needed to recover after the festival. In addition, many enterprises such as Shandong Xinfa plan to repair in recent years. The market supply is in a tight state, and the supply side is favorable for the upward price of PVC. After the festival, the downstream just needs replenishment, and the market transactions are mostly at the middle and low-end prices, but the export market is improving, the demand side is strong, and the trend of PVC is relatively strong.

In spot, the main quotation range of PVC5 type electric stone in China is 6,560-6,950 RMB/ ton. At present, the mainstream of PVC5 type calcium carbide in East China is about 6,800-6,900 RMB/ ton; in Hebei Province, it is 6,720-6,770 RMB/ ton; in Inner Mongolia, the price is increased by 6,500-6,550 RMB/ ton including tax; in Hangzhou, it is 6,700-6,800 RMB/ ton; in Changzhou, it is 6,680-6,780 RMB/ ton; in Guangzhou, it is 6,980-7,100 RMB/ ton. Prices have been rising steadily.

Market Forecast
