SunSirs: Analysis of China Domestic Polyethylene Export Data for June 2026
July 23 2026 15:30:26     SunSirs (Selena)
In June 2026, domestic polyethylene exports totaled 394,300 tonnes, marking a year-on-year increase of 307.35% and a month-on-month decrease of 23.59%.
The significant year-on-year surge of 307.35% in exports reflects robust overseas demand, which diverted domestic supplies of LLDPE, LDPE, and HDPE away from the local spot market, thereby providing price support. Although exports declined by 23.59% month-on-month, the underlying support from external demand remains intact; consequently, while polyethylene futures contracts have traded weakly, they continue to find support at lower levels.
