SunSirs: China Domestic Corn Starch Prices Trend Weakly
July 13 2026 14:07:14     SunSirs (Selena)
According to data from SunSirs, domestic corn starch prices trended weakly last week. The average price of food-grade corn starch was 2,996.00 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and 2,974.00 RMB/ton at the weekend, marking a weekly decline of 0.73%.
Entering July, the domestic corn market has remained under pressure and weak overall, with raw material costs continuing to decline. Coupled with the fact that downstream procurement of corn starch is limited to essential needs, domestic corn starch prices have generally followed the trend of raw material costs, fluctuating with a downward bias.
SunSirs corn starch analysts believe that due to declining raw material costs, cautious downstream demand, and a market characterized by strong supply and weak demand, domestic corn starch prices will likely continue to fluctuate with a downward bias in the short term, tracking the trend of corn prices.
