Rare earth market analysis:

Prices for mainstream rare earth products remained stable or saw slight increases today. The average price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide rose by 0.06 ten thousand RMB/ton to 76.40 ten thousand RMB/ton, while the average price of praseodymium-neodymium metal held steady at 92.71 ten thousand RMB/ton. Dysprosium oxide rose by 0.15 ten thousand RMB/ton to 141.86 ten thousand RMB/ton, and terbium oxide increased by 9.17 ten thousand RMB/ton to 681.00 ten thousand RMB/ton. Transaction data for products such as praseodymium oxide, neodymium oxide, lutetium oxide, europium oxide, and lanthanum-cerium oxide was limited today; please treat these figures with caution.

Today, rare earth product prices generally fluctuated within a narrow range, with a prevailing market expectation of a positive outlook. Specifically, inquiry activity for praseodymium-neodymium products continued to rise and the supply of low-priced stock tightened further; however, downstream enterprises remained cautious in their purchasing, resulting in a slight upward trend in prices for the day. Prices for terbium products continued to climb amidst a scarcity of low-priced supply, while prices for other medium-to-heavy rare earth categories remained stable without significant fluctuation. Recent complex and volatile weather conditions—characterized by frequent extreme weather events across various regions—may impact normal operations at some rare earth production facilities and potentially constrain regional logistics and freight efficiency. Overall, most market participants remain optimistic about future trends; the pace of downstream procurement and market expectations are the key factors influencing the market outlook, and rare earth product prices are expected to maintain a steady, firm trend in the short term.
