July 09 2026 09:14:24     SunSirs (John)

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of July 8, 2026, the reference price for n-butanol in the Shandong region was 6,100 RMB/ton; compared to July 3 (when the reference price was 5,966 RMB/ton), the price increased by 134 RMB/ton, a rise of 2.23%.

Price trend data

Data from the SunSirs monitoring system indicates a slight market recovery for n-butanol in Shandong this week (July 3–8). From July 3 to 5, prices remained low and consolidated with little fluctuation; however, on July 6 and 7, the overall trading price range shifted upward, with increases of 100–200 RMB/ton. As of July 8, the reference market price for n-butanol in Shandong stood at approximately 5,900–6,400 RMB/ton.

Analysis of Key Influencing Factors

Regarding costs: The market for propylene—an upstream raw material for n-butanol—has recently trended upward, strengthening cost support for n-butanol; overall market trends are rising in tandem with this feedstock.

Regarding supply and demand: Demand from downstream sectors—such as acrylic acid, butyl acetate, coatings, and adhesives—remains solid. There has been a marginal improvement in the transmission of supply-demand dynamics, providing overall market support for price increases.

Market outlook

Currently, trading activity in the n-butanol market is moderate, and market sentiment remains positive; the recent trend of strengthening prices has bolstered confidence. In the short term, n-butanol prices are expected to maintain a stable-to-firm trend, though specific developments will depend on factors such as operating rates in downstream industries and shifts in supply and demand.
