July 08 2026 14:12:40     SunSirs (Selena)

According to monitoring data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs covering 500 county-level markets and data collection points, the national live pig price last week (the first week of July, spanning June 29 to July 5) was 10.48 RMB/kg, up 4.2% week-on-week; the market price for pork was 19.82 RMB/kg, up 1.0% week-on-week. Monitoring data from 200 wholesale markets showed the national average wholesale price for pork was 14.50 RMB/kg, rising 1.2% week-on-week but remaining 28.9% lower year-on-year.

Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs data indicates that national live pig prices rose 4.2% week-on-week, with both market prices and average wholesale prices for pork trending upward in tandem. A marginal improvement in end-market consumption provided solid support for live pig spot prices, representing a moderately positive development.
