SunSirs: Price Monitoring: Livestock Products and Feeds (June 2026, Week 3)

According to the monitoring of 500 county-level markets and collection points across the country, the prices of chicken, beef, and mutton increased month-on-month in the third week of June (as of June 18th), while the prices of pig products, eggs from major producing provinces, commercial broiler chicks, soybean meal, finishing pig compound feed, and broiler compound feed decreased month-on-month. The prices of commercial layer chicks, live cattle, live sheep, fresh milk, corn, and layer compound feed remained unchanged month-on-month.
Pig product prices. The national average price of piglets was 22.29 RMB per kilogram, down 2.7% week-on-week and down 39.6% year-on-year. Piglet prices increased in Hainan and Gansu, and decreased in Shandong, Shaanxi, Tianjin, Henan, Fujian and 27 other provinces. The price in the North China region was higher, at 23.60 RMB per kilogram; the price in the Northeast region was lower, at 21.60 RMB per kilogram. The national average price of live pigs was 10.06 RMB per kilogram, down 0.2% week-on-week and down 31.1% year-on-year. Live pig prices increased in Fujian, Hainan, Jiangxi, Guangxi, and Guangdong provinces, and decreased in Guizhou, Chongqing, Beijing, Shaanxi, Xinjiang and 23 other provinces. The price in Tianjin and Heilongjiang remained unchanged. The price in the Southwest region was higher, at 10.31 RMB per kilogram; the price in the Northeast region was lower, at 9.43 RMB per kilogram. The national average price of pork was 19.72 RMB per kilogram, down 0.3% week-on-week and down 21.7% year-on-year. Pork prices increased in Hainan, Jiangxi, Fujian, Liaoning, Hebei and 9 other provinces, and decreased in Shanghai, Chongqing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Xinjiang and 20 other provinces. The price in Beijing remained unchanged. The price in the South China region was higher, at 23.24 RMB per kilogram; the price in the Northeast region was lower, at 16.43 RMB per kilogram.
Poultry product prices. The national average price of eggs was 11.22 RMB per kilogram, up 0.6% week-on-week and up 30.0% year-on-year. The egg prices in Hebei, Liaoning and other 10 major producing provinces were 10.84 RMB per kilogram, down 1.0% week-on-week and up 54.9% year-on-year. The national average price of chicken was 22.26 RMB per kilogram, up 0.1% week-on-week and down 1.5% year-on-year. The average price of commercial egg chicks was 3.91 RMB per chick, unchanged from the previous week and down 0.5% year-on-year. The average price of commercial meat chicks was 3.42 RMB per chick, down 1.2% week-on-week and up 3.3% year-on-year.
Prices of beef and mutton products. The national average price of beef was 73.53 RMB per kilogram, up 0.1% week-on-week and up 5.4% year-on-year. The price of beef in Hebei, Inner Mongolia and other 10 major producing provinces was 67.98 RMB per kilogram, up 0.1% week-on-week. The live cattle price in major producing provinces was 28.24 RMB per kilogram, unchanged from the previous week and up 5.9% year-on-year. The national average price of mutton was 72.70 RMB per kilogram, up 0.1% week-on-week and up 5.1% year-on-year. The price of mutton in Hebei, Inner Mongolia and other 10 major producing provinces was 71.01 RMB per kilogram, up 0.1% week-on-week. The live sheep price in major producing provinces was 30.79 RMB per kilogram, unchanged from the previous week and up 6.8% year-on-year.
Fresh milk price. The average price of fresh milk in 10 major producing provinces such as Inner Mongolia and Hebei is 3.03 RMB per kilogram, unchanged from the previous week, down 0.3% year-on-year.
Feed prices. The national average price of corn is 2.49 RMB per kilogram, unchanged from the previous week, up 0.8% year-on-year. Corn prices in the main producing areas of Northeast China are 2.33 RMB per kilogram, down 0.4% from the previous week; corn prices in the main consuming areas of Guangdong Province are 2.53 RMB per kilogram, unchanged from the previous week. The national average price of soybean meal is 3.19 RMB per kilogram, down 0.6% from the previous week, down 4.8% year-on-year. The average price of compound feed for fattening pigs is 3.37 RMB per kilogram, down 0.3% from the previous week, down 0.6% year-on-year. The average price of compound feed for broilers is 3.51 RMB per kilogram, down 0.3% from the previous week, down 0.3% year-on-year. The average price of compound feed for layer chickens is 3.24 RMB per kilogram, unchanged from the previous week, unchanged year-on-year.
