SunSirs: Analysis of the Impact of India Lifting Sales Restrictions on Gasoline and Diesel

The Indian government recently issued an executive order announcing the lifting—effective July 1—of the sales restrictions on gasoline and diesel that had been implemented in June.
With the lifting of gasoline sales restrictions, previously constrained supplies will be gradually released and market circulation will increase, exerting moderate downward pressure on gasoline spot prices.
Similarly, the removal of diesel sales restrictions lifts supply-side constraints and increases the volume of diesel available to the market, exerting a moderately bearish influence on diesel spot prices.
