June 26 2026 11:13:48     SunSirs (John)
Price trend
According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of potassium sulfate (50% content) was 4,100 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and 4,106 RMB/ton at the end of the week, representing a price increase of 0.16%.
Market analysis
The market price of potassium sulfate saw a slight increase this week; the ex-factory price for Mannheim-process potassium sulfate (50% powder) is approximately 4,050 RMB/tonne, while the price for the 52% powder grade stands at 4,350 RMB/tonne. Regarding costs, the production of this type of potassium sulfate is significantly influenced by the prices of upstream raw materials—sulfur and sulfuric acid. Although sulfur prices have recently retreated, sulfuric acid prices have risen slightly; overall costs remain high, supporting manufacturers' efforts to maintain price levels.
The fertilizer market is currently in the off-season for summer application, and there is significant resistance in the end market to high-priced fertilizers; downstream enterprises are largely purchasing on an as-needed basis and show little enthusiasm for stockpiling. The potassium sulfate market has remained relatively stable recently, with prices generally holding at high levels. Although downstream demand is also in a seasonal lull, processing enterprises generally maintain a strong resolve to uphold prices due to high production costs.
Market outlook
Supported by production costs, domestic potassium sulfate prices are expected to fluctuate within a narrow range in the short term.
