SunSirs: China Exports Over 2,600 Ships in First Five Months

The General Administration of Customs recently released the monthly statistical report on my country's commodity exports for May.
Statistics show that in May, China exported 577 ships—a year-on-year increase of 1.8%—with a total value of RMB 37.65127 billion, up 23.7% year-on-year. In the first five months of the year, my country exported a total of 2,637 ships (down 3.7% year-on-year) valued at RMB 175.75131 billion (up 22.5% year-on-year).
Regarding ship types, China exported 36 liquid cargo ships in May valued at RMB 12.49738 billion ; the number of vessels rose by 80% year-on-year, while the value surged by 158.3%. In the first five months, cumulative exports of liquid cargo ships reached 187 vessels (up 67% year-on-year) with a value of RMB 64.34813 billion (up 188.8% year-on-year).
For container ships, China exported 11 vessels valued at RMB 7.51135 billion in May, representing year-on-year declines of 31.3% in volume and 29.8% in value. In the first five months, cumulative exports totaled 46 container ships valued at RMB 24.31238 billion, down 41% and 37.8% respectively year-on-year.
Regarding bulk carriers, China exported 55 vessels valued at RMB 11.08050 billion in May, up 22.2% and 117.8% respectively year-on-year. In the first five months, cumulative exports reached 218 bulk carriers valued at RMB 40.95494 billion; the number of vessels saw a slight year-on-year increase of 1.9%, while the value rose by 41.5%.
