According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the market price of isopropanol declined last week; the domestic average price fell from 7,366.67 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week to 7,275 RMB/ton by the weekend, representing a decrease of 1.24%.
Market analysis
The market price of isopropanol (IPA) fell last week. Prices for the feedstock acetone declined, weakening cost support and prompting manufacturers to lower their quotes. Overall, the IPA market remained sluggish with poor sentiment; holders showed a greater willingness to sell, while downstream demand was driven primarily by essential needs. As of June 12, most market quotes in the Shandong region hovered around 7,000-7,100 RMB/ton, while quotes in the Jiangsu region were mostly in the 7,300-7,500 RMB/ton range.
