SunSirs: Statistics on China's Exports of Trichloroethylene and Tetrachloroethylene (January–April)

According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, China’s exports of trichloroethylene in April 2026 totaled 2,000 tonnes, representing a month-on-month decrease of 47.1% and a year-on-year decrease of 33.8%; cumulative exports for the January–April period reached 13,000 tonnes, up 21.9% year-on-year. In April 2026, exports of tetrachloroethylene totaled 2,000 tonnes, up 1.2% month-on-month but down 34.3% year-on-year; cumulative exports for the January–April period totaled 17,000 tonnes, an increase of 68.7% year-on-year.
An analysis of export destinations shows that from January to April of this year, China’s trichloroethylene was primarily exported to India, Japan, Russia, Turkey, and the United States, accounting for 22.2%, 10.8%, 10.5%, 9.3%, and 8.0% of the total, respectively. Tetrachloroethylene was primarily exported to the UAE, Russia, Mexico, Turkey, and Brazil, accounting for 62.6%, 5.0%, 3.4%, 3.2%, and 2.5% of the total, respectively.
