On June 10, PET from Jiangsu Sanfangxiang was quoted at 8,200 RMB/tonne, and PET from Zhejiang Wankai was quoted at 8,230 RMB/tonne; both prices declined compared to the previous trading day.
Regarding the spot market, the quotes from both Jiangsu Sanfangxiang (8,200 RMB/tonne) and Zhejiang Wankai (8,230 RMB/tonne) fell relative to the prior session. The collective weakening of manufacturer quotes exerted moderate downward pressure on PET spot prices. In the futures market, the settlement price for the dominant PET (bottle-grade chip) contract (2609) on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange closed at 7,600 RMB/tonne on June 9—a drop of 24 RMB/tonne from the previous day—with open interest decreasing by 1,851 lots; the overall market sentiment was bearish, weighing on PET futures prices.
