SunSirs: China Commodity Data Daily Highlights (June 9, 2026)

On June 8, the Commodity Price Index (BPI) stood at 1,065 points, up 5 points from the previous day. This figure represents a 20.70% decline from the cycle's peak of 1,343 points (recorded on October 19, 2021) and a 61.36% increase from the cycle's low of 660 points (recorded on February 3, 2016).

According to SunSirs' price monitoring, 66 commodities saw price increases on June 8, 2026, primarily within the chemical sector (42 items) and the energy sector (5 items); commodities with gains exceeding 5% were mainly concentrated in the chemical sector. The top three gainers were sulfur (14.52%), coking coal (5.84%), and sodium iodide (4.63%). Meanwhile, 74 commodities experienced price declines, concentrated in the chemical (39 items) and non-ferrous metal (10 items) sectors; commodities with drops exceeding 5% were primarily found in the non-ferrous metal sector. The top three decliners were silver (-7.05%), tin (-4.81%), and formic acid (-4.00%).
