SunSirs: China Commodity Data Daily Highlights (June 5, 2026)

On June 4, the Commodity Price Index (BPI) stood at 1,064 points, down 2 points from the previous day. This figure represents a 20.77% decline from the cycle's peak of 1,343 points (recorded on October 19, 2021) and a 61.21% increase from the cycle's low of 660 points (recorded on February 3, 2016).

According to SunSirs' price monitoring, 42 commodities saw price increases on June 4, 2026, with the gains concentrated in the chemical sector (25 commodities) and the energy sector (6 commodities). The top three gainers were methyl acetoacetate (4.40%), dysprosium oxide (4.26%), and dysprosium-iron alloy (4.02%). Meanwhile, 72 commodities experienced price declines, primarily within the chemical (36 commodities) and non-ferrous metal (10 commodities) sectors; commodities with drops exceeding 5% were mainly found in the chemical sector. The top three decliners were ethylene oxide (-10.53%), sodium dihydrogen phosphate (-6.50%), and sulfamic acid (-6.09%).
