SunSirs: Rising Crude Oil Prices Drive Up Refined Oil Products Prices at China Northeast Regional Refineries

Following a rise in closing prices in the international crude oil market on Tuesday, refined fuel prices at regional refineries in Northeast China trended upward on June 3. The overall price for 92-octane gasoline ranged from 8,000 to 8,100 RMB per ton; 95-octane gasoline traded within a range of 8,100 to 8,200 RMB per ton; and diesel quotations fell between 7,100 and 7,200 RMB per ton.
The rise in international crude oil closing prices provided strong cost-side support for gasoline. Consequently, on June 3, gasoline prices at regional refineries in Northeast China moved higher, with 92-octane gasoline quoted at 8,000–8,100 RMB/ton and 95-octane gasoline at 8,100–8,200 RMB/ton. The spot market operated with a bullish bias, providing generally positive support for gasoline prices.
The rise in international crude oil prices also provided distinct cost-side support for diesel. On June 3, diesel quotations at regional refineries in Northeast China trended upward, with the quoted range standing at 7,100–7,200 RMB per ton. Favorable conditions in the spot market provided generally positive support for diesel prices.
