Rare earth market analysis:

Today, prices for mainstream rare earth products trended downward amidst market fluctuations. The average price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide stood at 695,200 RMB/ton, a decrease of 18,200 RMB/ton; the average price of praseodymium-neodymium metal was 853,100 RMB/ton, down 28,800 RMB/ton; the average price of dysprosium oxide was 1,274,400 RMB/ton, down 20,600 RMB/ton; and the average price of terbium oxide was 6,065,600 RMB/ton, down 13,000 RMB/ton. Today, transaction data derived from inquiries regarding products such as praseodymium oxide, neodymium oxide, europium oxide, lanthanum-cerium oxide, and neodymium metal was scarce; therefore, please exercise caution when using this information for reference.

The rare earth market continues its downward trajectory; current market prices are highly volatile, and a strong wait-and-see sentiment prevails across both upstream and downstream sectors. Consequently, traders and metal producers have proactively lowered their quoted prices, yet actual transaction volumes remain low. Influenced by the pricing trends of praseodymium-neodymium products, prices for dysprosium and terbium products have also been successively adjusted downward; dysprosium oxide has fallen below the 1.3 million RMB/ton mark, while terbium oxide is simultaneously trending toward the 6 million RMB/ton level. Market confidence has yet to recover, and quoted prices for mainstream products remain under sustained pressure. Overall, given the current cautious procurement stance of downstream buyers and the dominance of a wait-and-see mentality in the market—resulting in limited inquiry activity—prices for mainstream rare earth products are expected to continue fluctuating within a narrow range.
