SunSirs: Domestic Ethanol Market Trends in Selected Regions on May 19

On May 19, the benchmark price for ethanol, as reported by SunSirs, stood at 5,770.00 RMB/ton—a decrease of 1.37% compared to the beginning of the month (5,850.00 RMB/ton).

On May 19, the ethanol market in the Northeast region operated steadily.

At Jinzhou Port in Liaoning, the prevailing ex-warehouse price for standard-grade ethanol ranged from 5,700 to 5,900 RMB/ton, with limited transaction volume.

In the Heilongjiang ethanol market, prices remained temporarily stable at elevated levels. Reference prices for standard-grade ethanol were 5,450–5,500 RMB/ton (tax-inclusive) in the eastern region and 5,500–5,550 RMB/ton (tax-inclusive) in the western region; the reference price for standard anhydrous ethanol was 5,950–6,100 RMB/ton.

Market conditions in the Jilin region remained stable. The price for standard-grade corn ethanol was 5,450–5,550 RMB/ton. Prices for premium and super-premium corn ethanol ranged from 5,600 to 5,850 RMB/ton, while the price for standard anhydrous corn ethanol was 6,200–6,250 RMB/ton.

On May 19, the ethanol market in the Southwest region trended weak.

The corn ethanol market in the Sichuan region was trending weak, with market transaction prices ranging from 6,050 to 6,100 RMB/ton.

In the Yunnan region, the molasses ethanol market lacked established pricing; local production remained sporadic, with most supplies being delivered from Guangxi, and no price quotes were available at this time.
