SunSirs: Ethanol Market Overview in Selected Domestic Regions on May 14

On May 14, the benchmark price for ethanol, as reported by SunSirs, stood at 5,792.22 RMB/ton—a decrease of 0.99% compared to the beginning of the month (5,850.00 RMB/ton).

On May 14, the ethanol market in the East China region remained stable with a weak bias.

Ethanol market prices in the Shandong region remain stable. Currently, the price for standard-grade cassava ethanol ranges from 5,800 to 5,850 RMB/ton; anhydrous cassava ethanol is priced at 6,550 RMB/ton; standard-grade wheat ethanol is priced between 5,650 and 5,700 RMB/ton; and premium-grade wheat ethanol is priced between 5,700 and 5,750 RMB/ton.

The ethanol market in the Anhui region is stable with a slight downward bias. Reference prices for standard-grade ethanol range from 5,750 to 5,850 RMB/ton, while reference prices for anhydrous ethanol range from 6,400 to 6,500 RMB/ton.

Ethanol Market Activity Limited in the Guangdong-Guangxi Region on May 14.

In the Guangxi region, ethanol prices remain stable and are consolidating. Reference prices are 5,900–6,000 RMB/ton for standard-grade cassava-based ethanol, 5,900–6,000 RMB/ton for standard-grade molasses-based ethanol, and 6,800–6,900 RMB/ton for anhydrous ethanol (ex-factory, tax included).

In the Guangdong region, the ethanol market is consolidating at high levels. Reference prices are 6,000–6,200 RMB/ton for cassava-based ethanol and 6,900–6,950 RMB/ton for anhydrous ethanol.
