On May 11, the Bulk Commodity Price Index (BPI) stood at 1,092 points, an increase of 4 points from the previous day. This represents a decline of 18.69% from the cycle's peak of 1,343 points (recorded on October 19, 2021) and an increase of 65.45% from the cycle's low of 660 points (recorded on February 3, 2016).
According to price monitoring by SunSirs, the list of commodity price changes for May 11, 2026, showed that 75 commodities experienced a month-on-month increase. These gains were concentrated primarily in the chemical sector (30 commodities) and the steel sector (11 commodities); specifically, those commodities with price increases exceeding 5% were predominantly found within the chemical sector. The top three commodities with the largest gains were sodium dihydrogen phosphate (5.46%), sulfuric acid (4.49%), and eggs (4.26%). Conversely, 88 commodities experienced a month-on-month decline, concentrated mainly in the chemical sector (50 commodities) and the rubber & plastics sector (11 commodities); commodities with price decreases exceeding 5% were also predominantly found within the chemical sector. The top three commodities with the largest declines were hydrogen peroxide (-11.04%), liquid ammonia (-6.80%), and thiourea (-5.76%).
