May 07 2026 15:14:26     SunSirs (John)

Price Trend

According to the SunSirs Commodity Market Analysis System, the average market price for 55% powdered ammonium biphosphate in the Hubei region stood at 4,250 RMB/ton on April 30. This compares to an average price of 4,096 RMB/ton on April 1, marking a 3.74% increase in ammonium biphosphate market prices during the month of April.

Market Analysis

In April, the market for ammonium biphosphate trended upward with a bullish bias. Throughout the month, raw material prices remained at elevated levels, leading to continued increases in cost pressures; consequently, some manufacturers temporarily suspended the acceptance of new orders. Operating rates among phosphate fertilizer producers declined, resulting in a reduction in market supply, while downstream demand remained driven primarily by essential requirements. As of April 30, market quotations for 55% powdered ammonium biphosphate stood at approximately 4,200–4,300 RMB/ton in the Hubei region, 4,300–4,350 RMB/ton in the Henan region, and 4,100–4,200 RMB/ton in the Sichuan region.

Regarding raw material sulfur: In April, sulfur prices experienced fluctuating movements—exhibiting both gains and losses—though the overall market trend was upward. Recently, trading activity in the sulfur market has intensified, with downstream demand continuing to keep pace; consequently, prices are expected to maintain a predominantly upward trajectory in the short term. As of April 30, the benchmark price for sulfur in the Shandong region stood at approximately 6,500 RMB/ton.

Market Outlook:

According to an analyst at SunSirs specializing in ammonium biphosphate, market trends for ammonium biphosphate have recently been predominantly upward. As of April 30, production costs remained persistently high, placing continued pressure on phosphate fertilizer manufacturers, while spot market supplies remained tight. It is anticipated that the ammonium biphosphate market will continue its upward trajectory in the short term.
