September 01 2020 14:24:50     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to data from SunSirs’ bulk list, the price of cryolite in August declined steadily. The average market price at the end of the month was about 5,666.67 RMB/ton, compared with the price of 5,833.33 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month, a decrease of 2.86% during the month and a decrease of 10.53% from the same period last year.

Analysis review

The cryolite market was weak and stable this month, the factory equipment started normally, the inventory was acceptable, the downstream demand was average, and most of the companies sold on an order basis, and the market remained stable. At present, the ex-factory price of cryolite in Henan is 4,800-6,000 RMB/ton, which is reduced by 500 RMB/ton compared with the previous month. The price of cryolite in Shandong is temporarily stable, and the ex-factory price is 5,000-6,800 RMB/ton. The actual transaction price is flexible, and it is mainly negotiated.

On the upstream side, the domestic fluorite market price trend continued to decline. At the end of the month, the average domestic fluorite price was 2,655.56 RMB/ton, a 5.16% drop from the early-month price of 2,800.00 RMB/ton. At present, domestic fluorite manufacturers are operating stably, the supply of fluorite on the market is sufficient, the downstream demand has not improved, and the situation of on-site goods is normal. The fluorite market is expected to operate stably in the later period. In terms of downstream electrolytic aluminum, the price trend in August fluctuated. The overall price market first fell and then rose, with a 1.55% drop within the month. Social inventories have continued to decrease and then increased slightly, downstream consumption has recovered, and electrolytic aluminum demand has rebounded, and it is expected to run strongly in the later period.

Market outlook

The cryolite product analyst of SunSirs believes that: the cryolite market is currently in sufficient inventory, the company is operating normally, the downstream demand is acceptable, and most purchases are on demand. The cryolite market may remain stable in the future.
