Price Trend

According to data from SunSirs' commodity market analysis system, adipic acid prices continued to rise in February, with prices fluctuating upwards. At the beginning of February, the average market price of adipic acid was 80,663 RMB/ton, and by February 28th, the average market price was 8,300 RMB/ton, representing a price increase of 2.89%.

Market Analysis

In early February, crude oil prices surged, keeping prices of adipic acid raw materials such as benzene and cyclohexanone high. With the Spring Festival approaching, downstream nylon restocking boosted demand, leading to a strong bullish sentiment among manufacturers. Adipic acid prices continued to rise, market transaction volume increased, and prices steadily climbed, with a five-day increase exceeding 3%. As of February 5th, the average domestic adipic acid market price was around 8,333 RMB/ton, an increase of 300 RMB/ton.

Following the Spring Festival, the boost to adipic acid raw material prices was limited, and end-user demand declined, leading to a gradual decrease in adipic acid prices after the initial rise. As of February 28th, the average market price of adipic acid was 8,300 RMB/ton, a decrease of 200 RMB/ton. Overall, adipic acid prices rose by nearly 3% in February.

Market outlook

According to analysts at SunSirs, adipic acid prices are expected to stop falling and rise in March as end-user demand gradually improves.
