SunSirs: Brazil's Soybean Exports Decrease Year on Year

February 27 2026 10:02:58     SunSirs (Selena)

According to data released by SECEX, the pace of Brazilian soybean exports in the third week of February 2026 was lower than the same period last year. From February 1st to 20th, Brazil's soybean exports were 4.085 million tons, and in February 2025, it was 6.428 million tons.

The Brazilian soybean export data for February 2026 released by SECEX shows that the export volume was 4.085 million tons, a significant decrease of about 36% compared to the same period in 2025, which was 6.428 million tons. A decrease in exports may reflect a weakening of global demand or domestic oversupply, increasing supply pressure in the spot market and having a negative impact on prices. The decline in exports usually leads to inventory accumulation, further lowering spot prices.
