SunSirs: Raw Material Prices Remained Firm, and the Polyamide Filament Market Trended Upward on February 25th

February 26 2026 09:14:43     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

On February 25, 2026, the domestic polyamide filament market price trended upward due to strong cost support from upstream raw material caprolactam.

In terms of specific specifications and price changes, according to SunSirs commodity market analysis system, on February 25th, the prices of all mainstream specifications of polyamide filament increased. As of February 25, 2026, the price of polyamide filament DTY (superior grade; 70D/24F) in Jiangsu Province was 14,300 RMB/ton, an increase of 220 RMB/ton in a single day, representing a daily increase of 1.56%; the price of polyamide POY (superior grade; 86D/24F) was 12,100 RMB/ton, an increase of 200 RMB/ton in a single day, representing a daily increase of 1.68%; and the price of polyamide FDY (superior grade: 40D/12F) was 14,850 RMB/ton, an increase of 250 RMB/ton in a single day, representing a daily increase of 1.71%.

Strong support from the raw material side

The caprolactam spot market continued to hold firm on prices, while the polyamide PA6 chip market remained stable. Cost support remained, but downstream companies planned to resume operations later than expected, and demand did not improve significantly. Amid the interplay of positive and negative factors, some polyamide filament manufacturers raised their prices, and the focus of actual market negotiations shifted upwards. The market needs to closely monitor cost trends and changes in downstream market demand in the future.
