In January, the domestic urea market experienced a generally strong upward trend in prices. During the first half of January, domestic urea prices fluctuated upwards. The domestic urea market had ample supply, downstream demand increased, and new orders rose. Urea manufacturers and distributors experienced smooth sales and maintained firm prices. In the second half of January, domestic urea prices declined, downstream purchasing activity weakened, and market transactions decreased. However, as the holiday season approaching, demand for fertilizers increased towards the end of the month, leading to another upward trend in urea prices.

Market Situation

As of January 30th, the market price for urea in Shandong province was approximately 1,750-1,790 RMB/ton, in Hebei province approximately 1,750-1,790 RMB/ton, in Henan province approximately 1,740-1,780 RMB/ton, and in Liaoning province approximately 1,740-1,790 RMB/ton.

According to the weekly candlestick chart from November 3, 2025, to January 19, 2026, domestic urea prices fluctuated during this period. Urea prices in January saw significant increases, with the largest increase of 2.04% occurring during the week of January 5th.
