In January 2026, the domestic rapeseed meal market showed a trend of "fluctuating downward and then rebounding at a low level". According to the monitoring of the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the average market price of rapeseed meal on January 1 was 2,471 RMB/ton, and on January 29, the average market price of rapeseed meal was 2,630 RMB/ton, an increase of 6.41%.
Supply side: Short term tightness, long-term looseness. In January, the operating rate of oil plants remained low, and the pressing volume of rapeseed was insufficient, with tight spot supply supporting prices. The easing of trade between China and Canada has led to an increase in the import volume of rapeseed in the long term, which has suppressed the upward potential of rapeseed meal prices.
On the demand side: The off-season continues, and inventory is weak. Aquaculture is in the off-season of winter, and feed factories mainly consume inventory; As the Spring Festival approaches, downstream enterprises are gradually shutting down.
The core contradiction of January's rapeseed meal is the game between "long-term supply pressure brought by the easing of Sino Canadian trade" and "short-term support provided by low domestic inventory". It is difficult for demand to have a trend upward during the off-season, and short-term fluctuations are mainly in the range.
