Market analysis

This month, the ammonium sulfate market price showed a strong upward trend. Coking-grade production rates saw slight adjustments, while caprolactam-grade production rates remained low. The increase in urea prices this month indirectly benefited the ammonium sulfate market. The supply side of ammonium sulfate received support, and demand gradually followed suit. Downstream buyers adopted a "buy on the rise, not on the fall" mentality, increasing their restocking enthusiasm, leading to a positive trading atmosphere in the ammonium sulfate market. Manufacturers experienced smooth shipments and mainly maintained firm prices. As of January 28th, the mainstream ex-factory price for coking-grade ammonium sulfate in Shandong province was around 1,020 RMB/ton. The mainstream ex-factory price for caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate in Shandong province was around 1,120-1,160 RMB/ton.

According to the weekly candlestick chart from November 3, 2025, to January 10, 2026, domestic ammonium sulfate prices fluctuated during this period. In January, domestic ammonium sulfate prices rose significantly, with the largest increase occurring in the week of January 12th, followed by an increase of 3.14%.

Market outlook
