SunSirs: China Domestic Pig Prices Rebounded Slightly Last Week
January 12 2026 09:46:28     SunSirs (Selena)
According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of domestic and foreign three RMB live pigs slightly rebounded last week, with an average price of 12.57 RMB/kg at the beginning of the week and 12.73 RMB/kg over the weekend, an increase of 1.27% during the week.
After New Year's Day, due to the influence of rainy and snowy weather in many places and the support of factors such as farmers' reluctance to sell and raise prices, the domestic pig market is currently experiencing a period of tight supply, and demand has supported the slightly strong operation of domestic pig market prices last week.
Last week, domestic corn prices remained stable and continued to move forward. Due to the rebound in pig prices, the domestic pig to grain ratio slightly increased to around 5.6:1, indicating an improvement in the breeding industry.
SunSirs pig products analyst believes that overall, there is no significant rebound in demand in the terminal meat market, and the domestic pig market supply is still sufficient. The overall space for pig prices to continue to rise is limited.
