SunSirs : January 6, 2026 China Rare Earth Market Report

January 07 2026 16:10:01

According to the Baotou Rare Earth Product Exchange, prices for mainstream rare earth products saw minor adjustments on January 6. The average price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide stood at ¥608,000 per ton, down ¥700 per ton; Praseodymium-neodymium metal averaged ¥736,200/ton, down ¥1,800/ton; Dysprosium oxide averaged ¥1,354,300/ton, up ¥9,700/ton; Terbium oxide averaged ¥6,006,400/ton, up ¥25,300/ton.

Transactions for products like neodymium oxide, praseodymium oxide, lanthanum-cerium oxide, and europium oxide remained limited. As praseodymium-neodymium market activity increased, traders became more active in inquiries. Upstream suppliers maintained firm quotations, but downstream demand release remained sluggish. Consequently, praseodymium-neodymium product prices continued their stable trend. Medium-heavy rare earth prices continued to rise with improving market conditions, though overall downstream demand remains limited and buyers show low acceptance of high-end quotations. Overall, market demand is releasing in an orderly manner at the beginning of the year. Rare earth prices may remain stable in the short term, with the market expected to steadily recover.
