According to customs statistics, the import volume of rapeseed in China in November 2025 was 1,998.30 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 99.72%.
The import volume of rapeseed plummeted by 99.72% year-on-year, indicating a sharp decrease in supply and a severe shortage in the spot market, which will push up spot prices. Significant positive factors are evident, as high dependence on imports and supply gaps may lead to price spikes.
The shortage of rapeseed supply directly drives up the cost of rapeseed oil raw materials, and spot prices are facing upward pressure. Based on futures data, the price of rapeseed oil main contract 2605 has slightly increased by 24 RMB, with a large trading volume, indicating that market expectations are biased and futures prices may continue to rise.
The sharp decline in rapeseed imports has increased the production cost of rapeseed meal, and the tight supply of spot goods has benefited prices. Based on futures data, although the main contract 2605 for rapeseed meal fell by 8 RMB, the high position and fundamental support have strengthened the medium - to long-term bullish expectations for futures prices.
