According to data from the Southern Peninsula Palm Oil Pressers Association (SPPOMA), from December 1st to 31st, 2025, the palm oil yield in Malaysia decreased by 7.39% compared to the same period last month, the oil yield decreased by 0.13% compared to the same period last month, and the production decreased by 8.07% compared to the same period last month.
According to SPPOMA data, Malaysia's palm oil production decreased by 8.07% month on month in December 2025, with both yield and oil yield declining simultaneously, indicating a significant contraction in the supply side. As a major global edible oil commodity, the reduction in supply will exacerbate the tight supply and demand situation in the spot market, pushing up spot prices.
