The weekly export sales data reissued by the US Department of Agriculture shows that as of the week of December 11, the net sales volume of soybean meal in the United States for the year 2025/26 was 616,453 tons, far higher than the 275,487 tons a week ago and exceeding market expectations. So far this year, the total export sales of soybean meal have increased by 10% year-on-year, while the US Department of Agriculture predicts a 5% increase in exports for the whole year.
According to data from the US Department of Agriculture, as of the week ending December 11th, the net sales volume of soybean meal for 2025/26 reached 616,453 tons, far exceeding the market expectation of 275,487 tons a week ago. The total export sales for this year increased by 10% year-on-year, higher than the US Department of Agriculture's forecast of 5%. This indicates strong demand for soybean meal, which is a significant positive for spot prices and may push up spot prices due to increased risk of tight supply. Combined with the soybean meal futures market, the settlement price of the main contract 2605 was 2,788 RMB/ton, up 6 points, with a high trading volume of 1,075,551 lots; Exceeding expectations in demand may further support the upward trend of futures prices and strengthen bullish sentiment.
