SunSirs: New 2025 Guidelines Launched to Drive Mineral Exploration Breakthroughs with Sci and Tech Support

According to the news on the website of the Ministry of Natural Resources on December 23, in order to give full play to the leading role of scientific and technological innovation in mineral exploration and further solve the key scientific and technological problems encountered in mineral exploration breakthroughs, the Ministry of Natural Resources recently released the "Guidelines for the Application of Scientific and Technological Support Projects for the New Round of Strategic Action for Mineral Exploration Breakthroughs in 2025" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guidelines"). A total of 29 projects were released in the "Guidelines", including "Demonstration of the Effectiveness of Exploration Technologies in the Volcanic Rock Covered Area in the Middle-Eastern Inner Mongolia", "Research on the Exploration Technical Methods for Boron Mines in the Liaodong Region", "Geophysical Detection Model of Carbonaceous Rock Series in the Laoling Metallogenic Belt in Southern Jilin", "Research on the Metallogenic Regularities and Deep Mineral Prospecting Prediction of the Qixia-Penglai Gold Belt in Jiaodong", "Research on the Tectonic-Magmatic Metallogenic System in the Yanshanian Period in Southern Anhui", "Research on the Construction of Prospecting Models and Deep Orebody Location Technologies in the Copper-Gold Ore Concentration Area in Northeast Jiangxi", etc., involving energy and mineral resources such as gold, copper, manganese, tin, phosphorus, aluminum, antimony, boron, beryllium, rubidium, niobium-tantalum, high-purity quartz, lead-zinc, oil and gas, shale gas, geothermal energy, and coalbed methane. The "Guidelines" also clarify the project application procedures, application requirements, application methods, etc.
