SunSirs : China's Stainless Steel Imports Reach 112,100 Metric Tons in November, Down 18,100 Metric Tons Year-on-Year

Data from the Stainless Steel Branch of the China Iron and Steel Association shows that China imported 112,100 metric tons of stainless steel in November, marking a month-on-month decrease of 12,000 metric tons (10%) and a year-on-year decline of 18,100 metric tons (14%). Imports from Indonesia totaled 87,300 metric tons, down 16% month-on-month and 17% year-on-year. Imports from South Korea and Taiwan, China showed month-on-month increases, while those from Indonesia, Japan, and Vietnam declined. The top five import sources accounted for 104,700 metric tons in November, representing 93.34% of total imports.
From January to November 2025, China's total stainless steel imports reached 1.3742 million tons, down 365,300 tons or 21% year-on-year. Imports from Indonesia totaled 1.1044 million tons, a 24% year-on-year decrease. Meanwhile, stainless steel imports from Vietnam showed a year-on-year increase, surging by 359%.
