SunSirs: EU Launches Anti-Dumping Probe into Chinese Sodium Benzoate

Beijing, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- The European Commission announced on Dec. 19, 2025, that it had launched an anti-dumping investigation into sodium benzoate from China, at the request of European company Lanxess Chemical B.V. on Nov. 10, 2025. The EU CN (Combined Nomenclature) code for the products involved is 2916 31 00 (TARIC code is 2916 31 00 91). The period of dumping investigation in this case is from Oct. 1, 2024 to Sept. 30, 2025, and the period of damage investigation is from Jan. 1, 2022 to the end of the dumping investigation period.
