SunSirs: Analysis of Dichloroethane Import and Export Data for October 2025

According to the latest customs data, China imported 46,400 metric tons of dichloroethane products in October 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 309.97%. China exported 138.75 metric tons of dichloroethane products during the same period, marking a year-on-year decrease of 32.32%. From January to October 2025, China's cumulative dichloroethane imports reached 310,500 metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 283.7%. Cumulative exports totaled 1,680.25 metric tons, a year-on-year decrease of 76.31%.
By import/export regions, in October 2025, Oman and South Korea were China's primary dichloroethane import sources. China imported 36,300 metric tons from Oman and 10,000 metric tons from South Korea via general trade. The primary export destinations were Vietnam, Thailand, and Taiwan, China. Exports to Vietnam totaled 100 tons, to Thailand 20 tons, and to Taiwan, China 18.75 tons, primarily through general trade.
From January to October 2025, China's primary dichloroethane import sources were South Korea, the United States, and Oman, with imports totaling 230,100 metric tons from South Korea, 66,300 metric tons from the United States, and 10,000 metric tons from Oman. China's main export destinations for dichloroethane products were Vietnam, Taiwan, Angola, and Nigeria. Exports to Vietnam totaled 1,320.25 tons, accounting for 78.57% of total exports; exports to Taiwan reached 61.25 tons, representing 3.65%; exports to Angola amounted to 60 tons, constituting 3.57%; and exports to Nigeria totaled 60 tons, also accounting for 3.57%.
