According to the SunSirs' commodity price analysis system, the domestic price of sodium metabisulfite remained stable last week. The average price of industrial-grade sodium metabisulfite was 2,200 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and remained at 2,200 RMB/ton at the end of the week, indicating price stability.
Market Analysis
Last week, the domestic market price of industrial-grade sodium metabisulfite (96.5% purity) remained stable. The price of upstream soda ash increased by 0.48%, and the price of sulfur increased by 2.76%. The price of downstream caprolactam increased by 0.72%. The upward trend in the price of upstream raw material sulfur continued, and soda ash also rose accordingly. Market transactions were stable.
Market Forecast:
Domestic sodium metabisulfite costs rose sharply, and transaction volumes were lower than expected. It is anticipated that domestic market prices will likely fluctuate within a generally upward trend in the short term.
