SunSirs: Analysis of China's Caustic Soda Import and Export Data for January-October

According to the latest statistics from China's customs, in October 2025, China imported 920 metric tons of caustic soda. Of this, solid caustic soda imports totaled 880 metric tons, while liquid caustic soda imports amounted to 40 metric tons. China's caustic soda exports totaled 389,600 metric tons, comprising 57,000 metric tons of solid caustic soda and 332,600 metric tons of liquid caustic soda.

From January to October 2025, China's cumulative caustic soda imports reached 73,000 metric tons, a year-on-year decrease of 49.66%. This included cumulative imports of 70,000 metric tons of solid caustic soda and 3,000 metric tons of liquid caustic soda. China's cumulative caustic soda exports reached 3.4859 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 41.53%. Among these, solid caustic soda exports totaled 548,000 tons, up 39.37% year-on-year, while liquid caustic soda exports amounted to 2.9379 million tons, rising 41.94% year-on-year.

From January to October 2025, the top five export destinations for China's liquid caustic soda were Indonesia (39.94%), Australia (37.13%), Taiwan, China (7.19%), Papua New Guinea (3.16%), and Saudi Arabia (2.45%). The top five export destinations for solid caustic soda were Vietnam (11.08%), Indonesia (8.19%), Uzbekistan (6.68%), Kazakhstan (6.37%), and Ghana (4.87%).
