SunSirs: Demand Was Weak, and Hydrogen Peroxide Prices Were Falling

According to data from the SunSirs' commodity analysis system, the hydrogen peroxide market has continued to weaken since November, with prices consistently hitting new lows. On November 1st, the average market price of hydrogen peroxide was 930 RMB/ton, while on November 20th, the average market price was 860 RMB/ton, representing a price decrease of 7.53%.
Demand was weak, and hydrogen peroxide prices were falling
In early November, hydrogen peroxide supply was ample, while end-user demand was weak, leading to a continuous decline in hydrogen peroxide prices. The average price of hydrogen peroxide in Shandong was 850-880 RMB/ton, a decrease of 50 RMB/ton. The average price in Anhui was around 850 RMB/ton, also a decrease of 50 RMB/ton. By November 15th, the average domestic price of hydrogen peroxide had fallen to around 860 RMB/ton, a decrease of 100 RMB/ton compared to the beginning of the month.
In mid-to-late November, hydrogen peroxide prices rose slightly due to tight supply caused by plant shutdowns for maintenance, prompting manufacturers to hold firm on prices. However, due to persistently weak end-user demand, prices subsequently corrected, returning to around 860 RMB/ton.
Market Forecast:
According to analysts at SunSirs, demand from the downstream printing and paper industries is unlikely to improve by the end of November, and the supply pressure of hydrogen peroxide will remain, leading to a continued weakly declining market trend.
