SunSirs: China's Largest Gas Storage Facility Commences Operation

On November 10th, with the opening of the gas valve of the injection and production well of the Huitubu gas storage reservoir in Xinjiang, China National Petroleum Corporation, more than 5 million cubic meters of natural gas entered the pipeline network leading to thousands of households, the largest gas storage reservoir in China " opened the granary" and officially started the 13th cycle gas production, fully ensuring the supply of natural gas for this winter and next spring.
On November 10th, with the opening of the gas valve of the injection and production well of the Hu tu bi gas storage reservoir in Xinjiang by China Petroleum, more than 5 million cubic meters of natural gas entered the pipeline network leading to thousands of households, the largest gas storage reservoir in China " opened the granary" and officially launched the 13th cycle of gas production, fully ensuring the supply of natural gas for this winter and next spring. Located in the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, the Hu tu bi gas storage reservoir has a storage capacity of more than 10 billion cubic meters and is also the first gas storage reservoir of the West-to-East Natural Gas Transmission Line No. 2, which undertakes the dual functions of seasonal peak-shaving and emergency gas supply of the West-to-East Natural Gas Transmission Line and the seasonal peak-shaving of the northern Xinjiang region. The exported natural gas not only ensures the use of natural gas in cities such as Urumqi and Changji in northern Xinjiang but also transports to cities such as Beijing and Shanghai along the West-to-East Natural Gas Transmission Line.
