November 17 2025 09:23:48     SunSirs (John)
Price trend:
According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs: the price of activated charcoal at the beginning of the week was 12,633 RMB/ton, and the price at the end of the week was 12,666 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.26%.
Market Analysis
Domestic coconut shell activated charcoal manufacturers raised prices last week. The ex-factory price of coconut shell activated charcoal for water purification in East China is between 9,500 and 13,000 RMB/ton. Strong demand for coconut shell activated charcoal in water treatment, air purification, sodium-ion batteries and other fields supports the price increase. In addition, the extended sea freight cycle and the increase in warehousing and environmental protection requirements have pushed up import costs.
Imported raw material prices in September 2025: Indonesian coconut shell carbonization FOB price was $1,019/ton, and Indian price was $958/ton, both up over 80% compared to the same period in 2024. Southeast Asian coconut-producing countries were experiencing raw material supply shortages due to natural disasters and policy adjustments. Although some countries have expansion plans, the tight supply situation is unlikely to change in the short term, and prices will remain high.
Market Forecast:
Domestic coconut shell activated charcoal prices are supported by raw material prices, and it is expected that activated charcoal prices will mainly fluctuate at high levels in the short term.
