SunSirs: Rare Earth Minerals Discovered in Nunarsuit, Southern Greenland

November 11 2025 09:04:27      (lkhu)

According to a report by Reuters on November 5, Amaroq Minerals recently announced the preliminary discovery of traditional rare earth element mineralization within the license area of Nunarsuit in southern Greenland. The Ilua Pegmatite Zone within this license is the first high - grade rare earth ore outcrop confirmed by Amaroq Minerals, marking an important step for the company in entering the rare earth and critical minerals fields. Currently, the total rare earth oxide (TREO) grade in the Ilua Pegmatite Zone has reached 2.31%. The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission believes that the Gardar igneous province in southern Greenland holds one - fifth of the world's rare earth resources, and rare earth deposits such as Kvanefjeld and Tanbreez have been discovered. Sample analysis shows that heavy rare earths account for 27%, light rare earths account for 73%, and magnetic rare earth elements such as praseodymium, neodymium, dysprosium, and terbium account for 21%. Preliminary field work indicates that the rare - earth - bearing pegmatite structures are widely distributed and await further assessment and analysis. The rare earth ore outcrop is several meters wide and 5 kilometers long along the strike, and there may be multiple parallel structures. It is reported that the company plans to conduct an evaluation in 2026 and verify the scale of the prospective area.
